Welcome to your Ratings Forming Part of Navigational Watch asynchronous session! Before you proceed with the course proper, we strongly advise you to read through the guidelines covered during the orientation. Take note of the requirements before proceeding to the synchronous sessions, as well as into the face-to-face on-site classes.
On successful completion of this course and assessment /examination, the trainee should be able to demonstrates competence in performing the navigational function at the support level at the specified in column 1 and 2 of the Table A – II/4 of the STCW Code.
At the end of the course, trainees will be able to:
- steering the ship and also complying with the helm orders in the English language;
- keeping a proper look-out by sight and hearing;
- contributing to monitoring and controlling a safe watch; and
- operating emergency equipment and applying emergency procedures.
This course is base on the requirement of STCW Code, as amended : Part A, Chapter II – Master and Deck Department ; Section A-II/4 Table A – II/4.
